Disable the User Account Control settings before installing Acquity driver for SCIEX OS software

To prevent driver installation issues, it is recommended that you disable the User Account Control (UAC) settings in Windows before installing the Acquity Driver that interfaces with SCIEX OS software.

Please follow these steps to disable the UAC settings:

1. Navigate to Local Security Policy. (Search for Local Security Policy in the Windows search field in the lower left corner of the screen.)
2. Under Local Policies, select Security Options.
3. Highlight the policy “User Account Control: Run all administrations in Admin Approval Mode." 
4. If it is enabled, select “Disabled” in the Local Security Setting tab.
5. Click OK and reboot the PC.
6. Verify that the UAC policy is disabled in the Local Security Policy screen.
